SUICIDE PREVENTION
Suicide Prevention: A Voice from the Edge and Back
In 2010, just four months after leaving the Army, I attempted to take my own life.
That’s not easy to say—but it’s why I speak. Because there are others who feel what I felt: hopeless, isolated, and like the pain will never end.
My keynote on suicide prevention isn’t clinical—it’s personal. I speak from the heart about what led me there, what pulled me back, and what we can do to help others before it’s too late. From the dark nights of addiction and alcohol abuse to finding a reason to keep going, I tell the full story—not to shock, but to connect, especially with those who feel invisible.
If you're part of a school, company, military organization, or community group looking for a speaker who understands the weight of suicidal thoughts—and how to find hope again—I’m ready to show up and speak with honesty, vulnerability, and strength.
